My husband and I are currently at McGuire AFB. It is in the middle of nowhere but within driving distance to a couple major cities. It is about 45 mins to Philly and 1 hour to NYC. If you dont feel like driving the train is about 15-20 mins away and goes to the cities also the bus is local and cheap. Philly is my choice of a night out as NYC is a little too intense on the weekends for me the amount of people are out of control. Durring the summer the Jersey Shore is only about 30 mins away. Yeah lived here when it was FORT DIX before McGuire took over EVERYTHING when DIx ran the hospital....not sure what its like now don't ever care to find out....its in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE....if you get orders...decline and get out.
